Drapers Patterns have been designed to run on the larger side. We recommend sizing down if you are between sizes. Please refer to our size chart . 

Solara is a stunning crossbody wrap dress with a 'V' neckline and pleated or plain full sleeves. Cuff and waist tie detailing make solara a classic and timeless wardrobe addition. Options include a full length or midi dress, or a blouse. With small adaptions and increasing a size, Solara could make a very cool jacket or coat. 

Please note all design options are interchangeable on Drapers Patterns.

Fabric Requirements: 

Full Length Dress;

120cm wide – 4.2M to 4.4M

150cm wide - 3.4M to 3.6M

Midi Length Dress;

120cm wide – 3.8M to 3.9M

150cm wide - 3.0M to 3.1M

Blouse;

120cm wide – 2.7M to 2.8M

150cm wide - 2.4M to 2.5M

You will need: 

Fabric of choice.

1M of lightweight (non stretch) interfacing.

11 x 16L Buttons

Suggested Fabrics:

Solara makes up best in a medium to full bodied fabric. Something with a bit of structure such as linen, cotton poplin, lightweight wool suiting or even a silk organza work well to accentuate it's shape.

Note:

If wanting to create a jacket or coat using the Solara pattern, we recommend moving up 1-2 sizes to allow for ease of movement when wearing other garments underneath.
